Don’t remember when was the last blog I did. I decided to add my deserts to the blog. I love baking, especially doing different kind of deserts. To start off, I decided to add my Flan, which is just right for the Holidays. Flan, which is kind of custard dessert has been going on in my family for years and very easy to do.
I remember my grandma and aunt, which by the way my aunt is a great baker. I remember going to spend the night at her house and smelling the sweetness coming out of her apartment and she enjoyed baking. She still does, but very little now.
When my daughter was pregnant with my Mia I had to do a flan like every other week for her, that’s how much she loved it and still do.
This flan consists of
2 Carnation Milk
6 Eggs
1 Condensed Milk
1 Cup Of Sugar, depending how much caramelized sugar you want.
Set oven at 350, put in a large pot with water in the oven. This is what we call aqua bendita (holy bath).
Beat all 3 ingredients together, now you are to put a pot or frying pan on the stove and add in that one cup of sugar and let it brown up a little.
When the sugar is caramelized to your liking, you than put it in baking pan. No cooking spray needed. Add in the liquid ingredients into the pan, place that pan in the Holy Water and bake for about 45 minutes.
When I say this is such a delicious dessert, its delicious. Bon Appetite.
