I never plan when I’m doing something (arts&crafts) and of course having left over metarials from other projects helps. I wanted to take some pictures of my granddaughters, I love taking pictures. I came up with a couple headpieces/headbands, I’m thinking vintage/gasby look, feathers, brooches, and other things.
My new found discovery cheesecloth, love it! Messy as you know what, but you can do some fine pieces with it. Cheesecloth is very soft like material. I also discovered how to make my own brooches. They’re expensive when you order them on line, so I bought some costume jewelry at a good price took them apart and I added my own touches to them.
I have materials from other project, I never throw out left overs, knowing I can do something with them. So the pieces you see here are those, refurbish materials. The yellow piece is a ribbon form ruffle, I believe I bought at a Woolworth, wow that long.
One thing Ididn’t do was take picture of the material used, sorry guys next time. These are little girls headband with the exception of one which is the wedding one.
This pieces can be use for either a flower girl or special occasion. All of them have a elastic headbands with the exception of the all white one. I really enjoy myself doing headpieces, you get to create how you would want it.
You can do pieces with what you have at home if you’re an arts & craft person. I also learned something on the back of the headpiece, I used felt to make a more sturdy feel to it. You can also cut the elastic piece and put either a headband or clip to it.
Now the wedding one I did was me playing around with my brooches, this particular piece is for a summer bride. Nothing to big or heavy, I wanted a tie to it, so I added tulle to tie in the back. I sort of went crazy with the brooches, but i love the way it look.
I want to thank those who has follow my creative ways and for those reading my blogs. I’ve been a mother half my life, so wether they’re adults and out the house I still have that way of doing things for them and with them. I was blessed with 3 beautiful granddaughters Mia, Kylee and Madison the light of my eyes. Now I get to do for them, and believe me it’s so much fun this time around.
