This Cheddar Cheese Broccoli Soup was delicious. I love the kitchen, rather cooking and will always try my best to work it into perfection.
When the kids was home I would make what they liked never what I wanted for me. I worked full-time and was tired by the time I got home, so now the kids are all grown up and out the house and I get to cook what I like.
This is a quick and simple recipe.
1. Grated Carrots
4. All Purpose Flour
5. Chicken Broth
6. Chopped Onions
7. Minced Garlic
8. Chopped broccoli
9. Half and Half or Heavy Cream
10. Salt and Pepper
11. Dash of Nutmeg
Time to cook
Pot on the stove add 1/3 stick of butter in a pot, add carrots, onions, garlic mix all up.
Add 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour and mix well.
Add chicken broth mix together, and bring to a simmer. When thicken, add the broccoli.
Now you can use frozen or fresh broccoli, I used fresh.
After all your ingredients are in, lower the stove, cover the pot and bring to a simmer.
After 10 minutes on the stove add your half and half or heavy cream, I use heavy cream.
Add your salt and pepper to taste and finally add your cheese to it.
